Wizbang is Calling All Liberals!

Wizbang has challenged their most ardent liberal commenters to step up to the plate and put their money where their mouth is.

Literally.

The week between Christmas and New Year’s is a notoriously dead week in the blogosphere.

Given that, I would like to try an experiment. I’d like to invite our prominent lefty commenters – you know the ones who are so critical of the Wizbang writers all the time – to to submit blog posts for publication.

The plan is to publish pieces by these folks next week (in a addition to regular content) to see how those folks would do when they’re the authors and the rest of the Wizbang readership are the critics. Certainly there’s no shortage of topics to cover, what with Nancy and Harry’s coronation upcoming, the ISG report, etc.

Great idea.

It’s such a great idea that I’ve decided to challenge two of Wizbang’s most notorious liberal commenters to participate.

Lee and Mantis.

Lee seems to be an intelligent fellow who has bought into the entire “Dean Scream” version of Democratic politics. This guy has not met a talking point that he can’t repeat ten thousand times regardless of how off message it may be. Same old schtick.

Every. damn. day.

Come on Lee, let’s see what you’ve got.

Mantis started out as an annoying little flea without an original thought and has grown into the kind of blogosphere liberal that you can almost have a slight affection for. He’s still a bit young, but you can see the little thoughts in his mind start to mature over time. I wrote him off a while back and would love for him to come up with something worthy of the opportunity that Kevin at Wizbang is giving him.

If Lee and/or Mantis contribute an article to Wizbang that is not just a cut and paste hack job of whacko lefty blog screeds — I will make a contribution to the charity of their choice. I’m not rich, but I will make a nominal contribution in their name.

I will also post their text here in it’s entirety — without any comment.

Let’s get in on!
