Today I found out on Ace of Spades about a story that took place within about two blocks from my house.

Mannequin Lover May Face Life In Prison

A man with a history of smashing windows to indulge his fetish for mannequins could draw a long prison term.

Ronald A. Dotson, 39, of Detroit faces up to life in prison if convicted of a charge of attempted breaking and entering at a cleaning-supply company in the Detroit suburb of Ferndale.

Prosecutors charged him as a habitual offender. Authorities say he has at least six convictions for breaking and entering and a stint in prison over the last 13 years.

Dotson was arrested Oct. 9 after police say he smashed a window at a cleaning-supply company to get at a female mannequin dressed in a black and white French maid’s uniform. He had been out of prison for less than a week.

Dotson was arrested in Ferndale in July 2000 and later convicted for breaking and entering at a women’s clothing shop to get at a mannequin in a pink dress with bobbed hair.

Ferndale police also arrested Dotson in 1993 after finding him in an alley behind a woman’s store with three lingerie-clad mannequins.

WTF? It blows my mind that organizations like NOW and the ACLU will support every politician who says that we are wrong to fight against extreme islamofacism and dhimmnification when this is how they treat women. This is not just some obscure video, this is a respected imam on a national broadcast.

Lucky # Slevin

I just finished watching Lucky # Slevin.

A very good movie. The trailer in the link above makes it out to be more of an action movie, so I let it sit around for a while before I watched it. There is some action, and a little gore — they shoot some guys. But, this is a great flick, almost noir in the story telling. Several plots twists with just enough left out to keep you on your toes — and satisfied. And that’s important in a good movie, when it was over I was glad that I had watched it. I don’t say that very often and never thought I’d blog a movie review. I just thought it was that good.

Good cast, too. Josh Hartnett, Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, Lucy Liu, Ben Kingsley and Stanley Tucci.
