Red

Let’s just make it a music Monday.

A couple of years ago I had a near religious experience when Adrian Belew came to town with his “other” band The Bears and played this song at a small venue. The building almost came down. And yes, I have seen King Crimson play it live several times, for whatever reason that night was just something incredible.

Anyway, here’s a really crappy (sound quality, not the performance) facsimile of what I saw that night, Belew is the guy with the guitar jumping all around:

Crimson circa 1980, Elephant Talk:

King Crimson in 1973, I was only 11. I was a really cool kid:

Fripp just doing his thing, only a few years ago. I saw this iteration of Crimson a few times and loved them. Old dude still has it. Amazing:

Wow! A Frippertronics video:

Never say never

I never thought I post a video of some guy playing the flute. But, this guy plays the flute and beatboxes the Inspector Gadget theme song. It’s pretty damn good.

Here he does the Sesame Street song.

Moo & Oink

A commercial from my childhood:

I drive by the place every time I go back to Chicago. It’s on Stoney Island just down the street from Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam thingy. The cow and the pig are still out there dancing around in front of the store.

An updated version that has all kinds of suck. Doesn’t have that great song, though.

It’s official — we (really) suck

Fox News decides that we need a half hour comedy show pandering to the most base levels of those who hate us the most?

Chillingly horrid.

Kill the beast — now!

If you want to save your soul, Ace has offered up some of his best to remind us of what is truly good in the world.

Unsquare Dance was equally un-impressed — Can’t Sleep…Clowns’ll Eat Me…

Update: the show has now officially aired.

I’ve got nothing. Which is more than that show had.

Ugh.
