Michelle Rhee

Either resigned or got fired. If you don’t recognize the name right away, you can see her in the trailer for “Waiting for Superman,” A movie I got turned onto about a year ago, and think, based on the trailer (haven’t gotten to see the movie yet) is quite compelling.
She worked to be effective, and make the teachers and administrators in DC effective, and now she’s out of a job. It’s like DC just elected Wesley Mouch.
I’m looking for a dead tree link, I just heard it on Special Report a few moments ago.
Well here’s a link to yahoo, with a bad timestamp. (19 hours ago was tuesday, how they got the story before the press conference, WITH QUOTES! is beyond me. Or yahoo has access to technology beyond anything we know.)
[correction: it wasn't the timestamp, it was the meta I guess in the search stuff. The brief story was posted about 10 minutes after the conclusion of the Presser.]

The DC idiots hate her, of course, because she kicked butt and took names. That school system was totally fucked. And of course, because she kicked butt Christie-style, the idiot voters gave Adrian Fenty (the mayor) the boot too, since he appointed her. Mediocrity is unacceptable for DC, they want pure, unadulterated FAILURE. (See also: Marion Barry.)
It didn’t help that she’s Asian, either; that kind of racism is quite acceptable in the nation’s capital.
Fuck ‘em.

Michelle Rhee surprised me. I thought after reading about her that she would be just another money grubbing go along demtard. Hell, she actually tried to do her job. Who’d have thought?

Like beth said, after reading up on her more, she was mediocre, but mediocre is comparable to christ like perfection in the effed up hole of DC.
She Actually TRIED! not all of her decisions were the ones I would agree with, but the were a whole hell of a lot better than anyone else has made in the last 60 years.
