Thank God I’m Not a Dog.

Posted by Wickedpinto on February 1, 2011

This is really interesting But I gotta say. Given between letting 48 people die, or sniff 306 stool samples? I might be torn. One more proof that a dog is a mans best friend. Ask your best human friend to sniff your stool for cancer? If you have cancer, odds are you will die.

I mean, Why can’t you learn to sniff your own poo if you are so concerned? I know I don’t like the smell of my own stool (I drink and love cabbage and beans, sue me.) but good old reliable fido will sniff you’re dook day in and day out, and keep you and others alive.

I think if we could read that dogs mind he is thinking. “I effing BETTER go to rainbow bridge, and you better remember what I went through for you.” But I’m not sure.

Why do Judges have to be “creative?”

Posted by Wickedpinto on February 1, 2011

Isn’t that actually COUNTER to what a judge should be?

My point here is that Justice Vinson has produced a workmanlike application of the Supreme Court case law devoid of flights of creativity, as befits a district court judge. Politicos who froth about what an extreme activist he is are trying to cow the judiciary into approving of the law because it’s a big fucking deal.

.

(I think she is making the same point, but just that that turn of phrase would pound out. . .well, it says something right there I reckon.)

I’m not a lawyer, but I would rather have a calm, bland analytical judge gauging my case when I stand before him them rather than Oscar Wylde offering up witticisms.

[update] Nope, she’s saying the judge should have been creative.

How about we secure the borders?

You know what securing the borders does other than keeping out illegal aliens? It prevents illicit trade. I know, crazy talk.

Found Via goober.

[inclusion] I remember not being able to drive from Arizon to California without being subjected to an inspection on whether or not I brought in fruit or seeds. I can’t enter cali with fruit or seeds? but I can enter the US with criminals?
