What a noble job you have there guys.  How STRONG! you must be in your ability to completely isolate your own sense of moral strength, and ideaological scruples.

Man, now I see why they get all the press.

Poochie

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 30, 2007

I have a reason to dwell on poochies, but it’s not my place.

Anyways, two comments by the same person at the Hostages, were beautiful, inspirational and true in a way that man can’t understand.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

  • Will Rogers said something to the effect of, “If dogs don’t go to heaven, I want to go where they go.”
  • I second that.
  •  that was MOMinuteman.

His moniker might make him sound like some right wing extremist, but he understands poochies so quickly and easily that the reast of the hostages (there are 6 of us, and all but one are dog people) couldn’t respond.

MOMinutemen, I might disagree with you in the future about other things, but you said it.  You said it best about mans best “friend.”  I personaly don’t think they are a friend, they are a family member, and we are their pack.

Thank you VERY much for those reminders MOMinuteman.

Thank You VERY MUCH for those references.

“I hit him in the skull…”

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 30, 2007

Tucker? let me inform you of something.  I’m a soft bitch, but I probably have 60 pounds on your self righteous scrawny ass.

I’m willing to call homosexuals fags, and doughnutpunchers, and rimriders, and you THINK you are the “least anti-gay conservative.” though you threaten to throw heads into the stall?

Bring your 3 breast friends, and I will bring ONE gay friend, and the two of us, one gay and one hetero will mop the floor with your “least anti-gay” conservative ass, faster that it took you to give your “I have black friends” or ” I have gay friends” defense.

You were a patronizing little shit, and even if you weren’t patronizing, you are a little shit.  I could snap your neck with one arm, and one leg as a “handicap” you tiny tiny tiny little elitest prick.

Hell, I bet if I had mesa shouting instructions from the corner, I could beat the living snot out of you with only ONE limb.

Ain’t the media SO FRIGGEN TOUGH!!!!! when they aren’t actually facing anyone?

NOTE: I’m a soft bitch now, VERY SOFT, but I’m still a relatively fit 220lb’s, at 6’1+

Tucker is just a napoleonic midget hiding behind the only job that allows him to say “THE CONSTITUTION, THE CONSTITUTION.”   Tucker?  You are a liar, and a pussy, you need some ass kicking to actually understand the “strength” you think you represent, but I guess thats a requirement for MSNBC.

    This is stupid

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 29, 2007

Especially with the whole Hsu story floating, but clearly being ignored, but well, you know Condi is an elitist because she, well, you know, doesn’t like being talked down to.

I’m a very normal guy, in fact I’m technicaly poor, and if someone gives me a flank, when I asked for a skirt, or a butt when I wanted a brisuit, I get pissed, because I’m being talked down to.  See, now those guys actually have a reason to talk down to me, but to Mock the highest ranking black woman in the world because you give her glue, rather than diamonds, is just plain a request for an ass chewing.

I was once told that a brass zippo was pure gold, I was initially impressed, then I held it.  Gold = heavy, brass, not so much, of course I knew this before hand, I just wanted an excuse to throw it at the retailer who thought they could dupe me.  (thats true)

Condi has taste, recognizes those things that her taste attract her to, and judges some smug little retailer based on their snide remarks?

I’m fine with that, in fact, condi was nice, even though I think the “quote” is false, I doubt that condi is a rotten bitch, I’m more inclined to believe that the rotten bitch who wrote the article is more rotten than condi.

Update: though she is too skinny and too old for my flavor, I think Condi is kinda hot.  I like chicks who finish dinner, and Condi’s a bit dainty, maybe an antepasta before I devour real women, but she is a good looking woman.

    The Mother Teresa Thing….

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 28, 2007

These two pricks come off as well. . . .pricks. (thanks allah)

I’m an atheist myself, but I take no glee or joy in others who question their faith, or fall from their faith.  Honestly, I have an absolute respect for those of faith, because they can see something and believe that it is true.  I lack that, there is nothing I see as absolutely truth, but those who are faithful can find truth.  I might not share their faith, but their faith is a lovely thing.

Now the smug newly faithfull who two days after ignoring faith lecturing me about their faith (vick) can eat my ass, but those who work so hard to find reason, within their faith, that IS a beautiful thing.

get your defib’s prepared, but I was in the Marine Corps.  I served under Clinton.  I believed in the Corps, but not in Clinton, how could I reconcile such things?  I didn’t need to pray, or request mast of clinton, I needed only to look at my fellow service members and my fellow citizens to believe.

I questioned everyday if I should serve the false lord of Clinton, but I found faith in my fellow servicemen.

It’s a small comparisson, and those of the religious faith are looking for a larger one, and I do not at all judge them for questioning, even the greatest among them (though I think teresa was a bitch, no really I do, she tried, but she was a selfish bitch) who raise their voices in prayer, and suplication begging for that one thing that will make them whole with their faith.

I went through it almost constantly while in the Corps.  I was almost constantly reviled, I was weak, I was offensive, I was beligerant, I was arrogant, I was “too good” for my situation, but I didn’t mind.  While I was in, it was the best time of my life though I was shat on almost daily.  The Sister of my girlfriend recommended an office hours for me (she didn’t have the info) and she ended up being corrected, and nothing happened, but even if something did, I wouldn’t have held it against her.  Really, I’m fucking her sister.

You live, you suffer, you learn, you grow.

Only recently I have read “The creatures of man.” and there is a lesson in there, especially the story about the butterfly.  We grow beyond ourselves, we are not limited by what we know but rather we are motivated by what we don’t. (I suggest everyone read that compilation, eric flint is right, harrold myers could have been one of the greats)

I don’t know, nor does chris, he doesn’t know, but he’s an “intellectual” so of course he knows, even though he doesn’t, and donahue, fuck him, but many of the faithful don’t know, but they believe, and they find faith.

I don’t care about the characters, but we, mankind?  We have greatness built into us, just ignore the dicks, and focus on what CAN be done, and ignore what others are happy to mock as it wasn’t done.

I can dance on the grave of a dog, but I’d much rather play catch, while we both look into the sky and reach beyond our limit, even though, it’s only a matter of time that we can both touch that shiny dot.

    Which is it?

Posted by mesablue on August 28, 2007

Iain Murray at The Corner has this:

Since the late 1960s, much of the North Atlantic Ocean has become less salty, in part due to increases in fresh water runoff induced by global warming, scientists say.

—Michael Schirber, LiveScience, 29 June 2005

The surface waters of the North Atlantic are getting saltier, suggests a new study of records spanning over 50 years. They found that during this time, the layer of water that makes up the top 400 metres has gradually become saltier. The seawater is probably becoming saltier due to global warming, Boyer says.

—Catherine Brahic, New Scientist, 23 August 2007

    Oh, that fickle Global Warming.

    Sunday Morning Cartoon

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 26, 2007

I can’t remember much about this one, it came out in ’84 I think, though I saw an attribution saying it’s from ’82.  What I do remember about it is that it was one of those, first thing in the morning cartoons, but it was given movie of the week treatment on WPWR (our “power station” other than WGN)

Robotech was interesting, the character interaction, now, is weak and lame, but I can see why I thought it was the coolest thing in town at that time.

and this guy ravenxau seems to have every episode, and he/she/they have just about the same tastes I did as a kid.  If only they had posted “Jayce and the Argonauts.”  That was a wierd cool show.

Update: pupster points out that 7 hours after I posted the link Youtube shut down the link, and banned the hero ravenxau.  I’m sorry raven if it was my fault.

Questionion: Why bann raven for having almost 30 year old cartoons in his list, and why protect the copyrites of cartoons that noones going to watch unless they watch/read my sunday morning cartoon posts?  If this is how it works, I’m gonna start a sunday morning retarded lefty string, and lets see if that gets deleted or banned.

    Once again, sorry ravenxau.

Inclusion:  I’m dedicated to making up for this, there will likely be a monday morning cartoon, I’m a little too crazy right now to put it all in place, but, in the morning, there will likely be a monday morning cartoon.  Assuming China isn’t offended and Google doesn’t cave in, which means, assuming china isn’t offended.

Next weeks SMC, lets see if it’s pulled by then.

    Global Warming

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 24, 2007

I think that Al Gore is flying in circles over the midwest right now.  Here is a list of the flash flood and sever weather warnings for the region, and here’s a report on some of the aftermath, and predictions for later tonight.

I tell you it was pretty awesome, I just finish up the apology post for slacking, I hear a little rain hitting the sidewalk outside.  I knew there was gonna be thunderstorms coming through so I sit there looking out the screen door, then after about a minute of rainfall, theres a big ass flash of lighting that turned the day into day, and BAM! Wind comes through blowing the downpour so hard that the raindrops are torn apart into a thick swirling mist.  70-80 MPH winds is what they say it was, and it knocked out power.

and then BAM! I hear something thought it was lighting, but then I half of my neighbors tree sitting on his neighbors fence and where the car normaly would have been, only lasted about 20 minutes for the first one, the rain died down, but two more times the world went crazy just like in Al Gores models, and there was a constant bombardment of thunderstorms throughout the night.

Naturaly I was concerned about everyones well being, so I called my local pizza place and had them send some 17 year old kid out in the insane weather to deliver me a pizza, cuz thats just how I roll.

Fortunately Dennis Quaid arrived today and restored power.

The outages were major, the 500K number mentioned in the article only applies to illinois I think, there were another 350K in NW IN, the local power company’s list of downages covered pretty much every town city or county within 50+ miles of Chicago. It was pretty damn cool.

    We are Slacking

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 23, 2007

    I know, I’m sorry.

I just don’t have anything, and I’m caught up in a couple of books so by the time I turn away from the book and look at the news the blogs and the silly sites that might have something entertaining on them, I’m already late.

I’m on my last book in the queue right now, so I might be more prepared in the next day or two, and I don’t know what Mesa’s doing other than studying physiology with a Dr. but I’m sure he will be back soon as well.

For all of you loyal reader, sorry for the lapse, I don’t even have any irrational incorrect crazy to offer you right now, so I just thought I would point you all to slub for something that is both entertaining, political and kinda confusing.  Greenpeace hating on teddy kennedy.

Will be posting again likely later tomorrow, and if not I haven’t missed an SMC, though I sorta half assed it this week, only cuz I didn’t want two cartoon based posts back to back.

See what that is?  Thats self respect and dignity!  No matter how misplaced it was.

Once again, sorry for the lapse, it will return to normal in the next 48 hours.

This is why the internet is great

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 20, 2007

Not because my retarded ass can make these silly semi-sane, and scarcely coherent posts on a blog that celebrates milestones with crackheads, but because other sites are able to make money by having a countdown to the moment when Hayden is available for legal vaginal abuse. Or maybe, for a change in focus of her craft towards HARDCORE PORN!

Update:  It is now Okay to fantacize about hayden while masturbating without feeling guilt.

    MTP

Posted by Wickedpinto on August 20, 2007

There is a LOT of “there” there, but in basic.

Rove pinned david gregory to the bunk, held him down, and tattoed Gregorie’s ass, so that every time Gregory drop’s trow for helen thomas when she’s wielding a strap-on she will see “Property of Carl Rove” indelibaly marked there.

Gregory interuped rove 4 times, to ask a leading question, that had 3 points, and rove only interuped to say “lets take this 1 at a time.” but gregory kept saying “let me finish my question” even though he was asking 3 questions, in the context of one accusation.

Then he(rove) addressed each point, “absolutely there were no WMD’s but the entire world, even his own generals believed they had them, so that assumption while wrong, was not incorrect!!”

Then the “threat to partner nations.” thing and rove didn’t just tatoo gregories ass, he’s got “property of carl rove” tattooed on gregory’s forhead.

Grace, Dignity and honesty by Darth Rove while Davy was a petulant little prick?

    Points all to Rove.

Once again, the Republicans prove themselves regal, and graceful, and kind, and calm.
