I know there is a reference

Posted by Wickedpinto on June 10, 2011

But I can’t find one other than “BONES.” 🙂

“It is not our death that we fear, but that no-one will notice our absence”

That’s from bones, I know it’s paraphrased, but I also know that it’s true.

I have to say WTF!

Posted by Wickedpinto on June 10, 2011

As someone who has fled polic, Not capture, but fled police, I have to say WTF After I got bounced (I was stone sober, I was not driving, and I wasn’t even the one named with any crime, I was just detained) It scared the crap out of me, and for someone who wasn’t at all associated a crime to be treated WORSE than someone like me who MIGHT have (though wasn’t) associated with a crime is ridiculous.

My friend is gone.  We went back for a number of years and were co-bloggers on another place, now she is gone, but I will remember her, so maybe not THAT gone.

Mesa once refered to her as “(wicked)’s second mother,” and she really sorta in a way was.  I would talk to her regularly, and if I didn’t call her or if I didn’t answer the call, she would worry that something happened to me.

But now she’s gone, and that’s something that hurts, just saying, here’s some cute things falling to sleep.

a video.

She knew I loved that movie, she would make fun of me for it, cuz in a way it’s a chick movie, and. .  well, I’m me.

Greased Lightnings Owner Passed Away.

Posted by Wickedpinto on May 29, 2011

Jeff Conaway passed away.

He’s Danny Zuckos best friends, was the successor of Mister Garibaldi, and the “cool” taxi driver who wasn’t Tony Danza.

He might be an AMA reader.

For YEARS, I have supported the use of Nitrogen Asphyxiation. I supported it before I had a blog, I supported it before I had had broadband, and my standard reference is always me passing out as a teen while screwing around with helium. So maybe I am partly (hopefully) responsible for this punks death. Good riddance, and I’m sorry if I gave him the idea of using a noble gas to kill himself, because it’s a far more kind end than he deserved apparently.

Isn’t the tradition, prior to the Cult of Obama, that you had a day to take pot shots at the president?

well, we found some change I guess, meanwhile there is no hope.

It’s almost as though Multi-Nationalism

in an endeavour that the US is almost the exclusive financier is Stupid.

If Russia doesn’t like it, then remove the US astronauts, and have russia move the russian portion of the station away, from the main body. I’m Sure they can hire spacex to accomodate them for changing their stations aspect.

Instead of parental consent before molesting children, they have probable cause before they lay a hand on anyone.

Apparently, being in charge consists of knowing what it takes to be in charge is to know what it takes to be in charge. It’s like a 4 year degree with 6 years in post grad research all in a single article.

Fucking retards.

I think Mesa can judge on this as much if not more than me. This is how you gauge which Marine rates Merit. The Marine of lesser rank than you, who needed something and made you want to obey them, THAT is a leader, no matter the rank. The Marine that you gave an order to and corrected you? THAT is a leader. The Marines who know less, and admit it, but ask while being confusing? that is a leader.

It’s easy to be a leader, as long as you have testicles, or don’t give a damn about theirs.

The civilian world doesn’t have that aspect, PERIOD in my experience, and I’ve been in a lot of fields.

Archimedes would be proud.

Posted by Wickedpinto on April 10, 2011

I can’t link the vid directly but watch it it’s impressive.

Some might think that “Oh yeah, we apply 21st century technology to do what ever 8 year old did with a magnifying glass, or the bottom of a measuring cup on ants. But keep in mind, the target was constant, in three dimensions. That is a brilliant gimble and a perfectly located targeting system. As for the overall effect, you have to remember that balistics are very refined items in their specific builds. A plastic GASKET destroyed the most complex machine ever designed made and operated. A minor interruption in design can destroy a ballistic doesn’t require the minute it takes to set that boat on fire. You just hit it and soften the external shaping, and BOOM!

That’s impressive as all hell. Also, notice, it’s not like that boat is a static target, It’s being rocked and rolled by the ocean. Again. 3 Dimentional acquisition, AMAZING!

The STRATEGIC Oil Reserve.

Posted by Wickedpinto on March 8, 2011

Bush never tapped it, he added to it. Even Larry Kudlow, who I generally like, got on Bushes crap about tapping into it as the price of gas grew. You DO NOT TAP the STRATEGIC oil reserve to temporarily, and it would be very temporary, reduce the price of gas. It’s called THE STRATEGIC OIL RESERVE, because it is mainted for STRATEGIC purposes. That’s like saying “the price of a cruise with Carnival is too expensive, lets let everyone ride on the USS Enterprise!?” NO!

The STRATEGIC OIL RESERVE is meant to be kept for the purposes of STRATEGIC importance, like securing more oil! It’s not bi-annual, or quadrenial oil reserve, it’s a STRATEGIC OIL RESERVE!!!!

Please? Pundits? Shut your effing holes.

A fun read

Posted by Wickedpinto on March 8, 2011

15 conspiracy movies that don’t fall apart at the end.

The pic’s are good, and the analysis is a fun read. One of the things I notice about the picks is that a lot of them are extremely slow moving and arduous movies to endure. Like “the Parallax View,” which is the first pick, that movie seems to last forever, yet it might be because I hate warren beatty and really only liked him him bugsy.

One of the picks, blowout, is one of my favorite movies because the ending is kinda powerful, and satisfies the classical formula of ending as you started. For a more current example, I would include salt. Though Salt is a good old action flic, the underlying conspiracy is fun to keep up with, it’s not all about action, there are revelations and dark corners being explored, granted, in terms of it being a flash bang action flic, but still good.

Via Hotair,

Noone pulled over, or called the police. WTF?

When I was in highschool, one of my friends made fun of me, because I was going to an arcade, actually batting cages, and I got hit by a car when I wasn’t looking as I crossed the street, and my buddy saw it happen. My bat bounced and got dinged up really bad, and I hit the hood, and the windshield and bounced over the top of the car. It was really kinda surreal, I walked away with just a big ass bruise on my thigh. The driver, who wasn’t much older than I was freaking out, I said I was fine, I will just have a bruise, he gave me his number anyways, really hoping that I was okay, which I was, and then I complained cuz I didn’t know where my bat was.

That was the joke. A couple years later, one of our other friends, missed class, and the same friend who saw me fly over a car without harm said “He got hit by a car.” I thought he was screwing with me, I asked if his bat got effed up or something like that. My friend, the one who saw me perform some sort of movie stunt accidentally said “No, he got hit by a car,” and did the onomatapeia, “Padump Padump.” and the effing guy that hit him left the scene.

I can’t imagine being someone so callous that that they can drive over a human body and not at least call the flogging police, let alone apparently 20 of them in a row.

Human Scum.

Really, for someone with the intellectual squint, he says the dumbest things.

A good reason to push for at least one recall of the fleeing 14?

Posted by Wickedpinto on March 3, 2011

The “leaders” of the fleebaggers won’t commit to coming back and doing their job, so push the recall proposals. To oppose the recall, and to maybe take part in the special election one of those dem’s, even if they aren’t actually recalled and replaced would have to come back to at least offer opposition, thus putting them into the jurisdiction of the senate, making their quorum. Doesn’t that sound right?

If only we had a fleet of air supremacy fighter/bombers

Posted by Wickedpinto on March 3, 2011

I could support this. But with the bare bones fleet of F-22’s, I don’t think J-rigged F-18’s for the next 4 years is enough (if even in 4 years) till the JSF comes on line in fleet numbers.

and this is actually old news, but it’s made the news again, so now it’s new news.

The Private Sector, Cleaning up a Mess left by the Public Sector.

Posted by Wickedpinto on March 3, 2011

Meade does something for free at a public location, when public employees are calling off sick and sleaping in the capital.

What would Wisconsin do without the public sector employee’s?

You know.

Posted by Wickedpinto on March 1, 2011

There are a lot of terms and phrases that we use, but don’t know how we came about using them. I like etymology, the study of words and phrases, I do it because I think it’s neat, one of my nerd things that I do.

But did you know that the terms “Over the Top.” “Blood Bath,” and “Killing Field” were all born during the first world war?

Well the last man who knew exactly what those terms meant died the other day. Mr. Buckles was the last US veteran of WWI. The living memory of that time passed with him, but I hope that we can remember just how tough those guys had it. We praise the “Greatest Generation” and rightly so, but compare that to what the veterans of “The Great War” went through?

Mr. Buckles may not have had to go over the top, but he saw the blood bath and the killing fields as a ambulance driver, and he was the last who could tell us the story first hand. We lost a National treasure. We lost someone who served, and was kind, and who loved his nation.

If he was nothing else, I think that’s enough. At least it is in my book.

Apparently someone won best oscar for a Docu.

Posted by Wickedpinto on February 27, 2011

I’m watching “Waiting for Superman,” right now, I’m only about 20 minutes in, this is my third break from watching it.

I’m a sentimentalist, but I ain’t bad at keeping my demeanor. This Movie, just 20 minutes in so far, is effing HEARTWRENCHING!

I will write a review sometime in the next week, I know a lot of people have already seen it, but part of what’s tearing me up is some of the background imagery, having to do with culture and other things. I need to get all of the, “Oh my god” out of my system, in rewatches before I go full bore.

On’y 1/6th the way into the movie, I already know, it’s must see. It’s shredding my soul just this far in, and I don’t have any kids, just a lot of relatives who are lil’lil’n’s.

I hope Viv does a better job whenever she gets around to writing her “Decision Points,” review, cuz I might effing lose it.
